I have read your problem.
You have inflammation of the tailbone (
coccyx or bony area located deep between the buttocks above the anus) and it is referred to as
coccydynia.
You should have x-rays in both the standing and seated positions to better determine the presence of a
fracture or dislocation.
You should consult your doctor for painkiller medications like
ibuprofen etc, stool softeners to prevent
constipation.
Your doctor may advise you Injections of local anesthetics into the tailbone if there is continuing pain.
Rarely, the coccyx may be surgically removed.
You can purchase a "doughnut" cushion or pillow to sit on. This cushion has a hole in the middle to prevent the tailbone from contacting the flat surface.
