How To Treat Painful Varicose Veins?

I was prescribed paroxetine and took it for 13 days before the Dr. discontinued. On the 10th day, I started getting painful varicose and spider veins. In 3 days I developed them on my legs, arms, abdomen, and the underside of my chin. Not just a few, but 30-40 of them. I stopped the medication yesterday, but I am still developing the spider veins. Are they related? Will the veins stop being so painful soon? I went to the ER, but they didn't seem concerned about them. I am 38, female, in good health, and am on no other medication.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,
Varicose veins are unlikely to be related to the medications.
Secondly, varicose veins usually do not lead to any problems. If they are painful you should get yourself examined by a Surgeon who can advice whether you should start any treatment in the form of Compression stockings or Laser treatment, etc.
Do let us know if we can help you with any other queries on the subject,
Take care,
Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
