How To Treat Phlegm And High Fever In Toddler?

My 2yr old son has had lots of phlegm and high fever for 4 days already. He is taking omnicef (prescribed because he also got an ear infection). When should he start getting better? So far we have been keeping his fever down with ibuprofen. The phlegm hasn t decreased much either

Your child have fever, cough and sputum for 4 days and he is already on antibiotics with no relief.
In my opinion, you should do a chest x ray of child to see the extent of treatment and to know why he is not getting better.
