How To Treat Poor Esophagus Movement Caused Swallowing Difficulty?

I am 42 years old and 5'4. I took Reglax for 4 weeks and it did not help me with my swallowing issue. The food seems to be stuck in the esophagus and then I have to force myself to throw it up. I have some chest pain. After an endoscopy the doc said I got a lazy esophagus and did not offer any real help or even show concern. I lost 10 pounds and I am getting depressed. I need advice. How can this pain ease. What can I do? Please answer. I will really appreciate it.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, swallowing difficulty could be due to esophagitis and it is happening due to GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease ) it is important to rule out the infection along with this because H. Pylori is the common illness seen with GERD.
PPI is the drug of choice for this it is being given with Domperidone 20 mg (PPI= Proton pump inhibitor like Omeprazole 40 mg ) both the drug should be taken once in day at evening time and it has to be continued for six week, if the condition is associated with infection then antibiotic can be added, beside this changing the life style is equally important with diet change, no spicy, heavy meal, not high density calorie contained food, no stress, have more alkali food like green leafy vegetables, no alcohol, smoking
hope this information helps.
