Hello and welcome.

We try to avoid as many medications during pregnancy as possible, even when at times a condition is diagnosed and would warrant treatment in an otherwise normal individual. I would recommend continuous monitoring, a diet having minimum amount of sugar and mild forms of exercise (Eg. walking). If at all the glucose levels are not being controlled, only then will we have to start with insulin therapy, but I do recommend correction if diet and lifestyle factors are not controlling the blood glucose levels.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
