How To Treat Twisted Foot With Numbness And Tingling?

I twisted my foot 3 weeks ago and now the swelling and bruising is gone but I cannot flex my foot upward and it is numb and tingling and now the left side of my leg is numb and tingling. I wonder if I fractured a bone in the top of my foot as thats where the most pain is.

In patients who have an injury and then cannot dorsiflex there foot and have numbness on the outside of the leg I would be worried about a common peroneal nerve injury. Most of the time this would be a neuropraxia and the nerve would recover spontaneously but it should be assessed and monitored by your doctor.
