How Will An Accidental Dosage Of N Novolin Insulin Affect Type 2 Diabetic Patient?
Hello. I am a type 2 diabetic who usually injects 30 units of 70/30 insulin twice a day. Well, I just gave myself an injection of N Novolin insulin by accident. The pharmacist gave me the wrong insulin, and I noticed too late. How will the 30 units of N Novolin insulin affect me? Should I be worried? Do I need to take more of it? I am very concerned.

How Will An Accidental Dosage Of N Novolin Insulin Affect Type 2 Diabetic Patient?
Hi This is Dr Saumya Mittal Now I need to tell you that the 2 insulins are different and therefore they have different indications. So if you have had the wrong insulin, just keep a tighter check on the ongoing sugars for the day, a glucometer may suffice for that. And get the right insulin for your further injections. We cannot replace one insulin with another without changing the whole regime Hope that helps, please mention as much if it does. Best of luck Dr Saumya Mittal Diabetician
