Dear Concerned.,
Thanks for writing to us.
In your history you have not pin- pointed regarding your
abdominal pain location.Presuming that you have developed upper abdominal pain with hurting feeling while swallowing ,it shows that you have developed Acid Peptic Disorder or conventionally termed "Hyperacidity".The
acid reflux may at times show up as regurgitation to upper Oesophagus , then we term this as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease(
GERD).
Your pain in the region of "Adam's Apple" on direct pressure could be due to Streptococcal Sorethroat causing
Tracheitis. As You have to understand that GERD and Tracheaitis are unrelated at this stage.
The treatment for GERD is to (a)Abstain from untimely food/spicy oily food/Aerated Drinks/smoking/alcohol.(b)Pls take Antacids/H2 receptor antagonists/Probiotics/antispasmodics such other medications on consultation with your MD(c)Pls undertake investigation called upper GE -
Endoscopy by a qualified Gastroenterologist to rule out any ulcerations(d)Also do not forget to undergo baseline blood /urine investigations to rule out concomitant morbid conditions/infections.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.,
Best Regards.,
Dr Lt Cdr ASN Bhushan.,
Ex-Navy.
