Hysterectomy Done. Taking Estrogen. Not Able To Control Weight. Reason?

I had a complete historectomy when i was 31, I am now 53 and have been taking estrogen ever since, I have tried it seems everything to lose weight and nothing seems to work, is it because of the estrogen?? I tried to stop taking it but the hot flashes were unbearable, my weight gain has been slow over the last 20 years, but I am struggling to get it under control. Would that supplement Amberin help?

Hello,
The best way for loosing weight would be take a low calorie diet and doing this on regular basis and not for few weeks.
Avoid junk foods and colas.
Avoid deep fried foods and saturated foods.
Take more of fresh fruits and green vegetables.
Along with low calorie intake you must do regular aerobic exercises for 45 minutes a day.
Get yourself tested for hypothyroidism also as low thyroid levels results in weight gain.
If you find that you are not a pebble to shed weight of your own,you may consult a dietician for help.
Taking supplements generally don't provide any relief.
Thanks
