I Am Constantly Thirsty And I Have Slight Headache.. Is It Diabetes?

I have been extremely thirsty today I can drink and drink and drink and I am still thirsty I also got a slight headache that just started about an hour ago I havent been urinating more than normal I did eat a lot of olives earlier I know that they contain a lot of salt could this be the reason I am drinking so much and feeling so thirsty... I also heard that it may be diabetes , but I just had a lot of blood tests done back in Sept/Oct, wouldn t of it had shown up then?

Just relax a bit first. Now see if you had been to a very humid place where in water loss from your body is higher then normal, you body gets dehydrated then there will be craving for fluids or else something that you have eaten may have cause this..Do not drink only plain water or cold drinks much.Try to take some juices and have something jello in your mouth which will take care of it.as far as diabetes is concerned only this does not point diabetes. You should get it check again and also repeat once in year if you have history diabetes in family.

Thanks. I was in the car all day yesterday with the heat on, and Im not a big "heat" fan, so I was getting really hot in the car a lot yesterday. We also ate at IHOP yesterday morning, and the waitress sat us directly under the heat vent, which was cranked on "boil" (no joke!), I feel much better today, so thanks so much Dr. Pragnesh! :)
