Hi, ive been having persistent chronic headaches for 5 years now. An mri showed a venous angioma present, and in the location of the pain, but its thought to be irrelevant to the pain. No doctor will consider that the angioma is the cause of pain. Have u heard similar cases?
True venous hemangiomas are usually painless and does not cause any pain majority of times. They remain silent or dormant most of the times and are evident only after causing some complications.
Alone, venous angiomas tend not to cause any symptoms. That is, the majority of venous angiomas are thought to remain dormant or silent throughout life. However, some do cause problems such as seizures or brain hemorrhage. Hemorrhage from these vessels, although very rare, can cause sudden onset of headache. But they are typically not associated with chronic headaches or migraines. So i think your headache is not due to angioma.
Consult the treating physician and try to find out the cause of headache.
Hope my answer will be helpful for you.
Take care.
