I Need To Lose Some Weight. Should I Be Looking For Protein That Are 4g And Lower?
I have just been told I have stage 3 due to medicine & BP RX. Been told to follow a low protein diet. In checking food should I be looking for protein that are 4g and lower? I do need to lose some weight, one of my problems is that the arthritis medicine has also damaged my stomach I take Nexum on a daily bases.
If you are looking at a low protein option it is better that you avoid these dense protein sources- meats, eggs, soy, cheeses. Instead you can opt for foods that are rich in carbohydrates like whole grains, milk, salads, fruits and vegetables. you would need a basic level of protein to maintain the body that would be met with these. we are trying to avoid a sudden release of protein products like amino acids and Uric acid in blood. kindly get your blood urea, Uric acid and TSH levels checked after 2 months to see that your diet is going according to plan . thank you for your query.
