I Noticed A Discharge Of Blood One Week After My Periods. Could It Be Related With The Perimenopause?
Hi
I finished my last period approx. 14th January but then about a week later I got a bloody discharge start. It is like the discharge I get when I start my normal period. This happened once before approx 5 - 6 months to go when I got the bllody discharge that carried on until my normal period started and then finished as normal. My normal discharge is white. I am 45 years o;d and was wondering if this could be something to do with the perimenopause? My smear tests are up to date and have never been abnormal.
Your history says you have spotting / bleeding after a week of your regular cycle & also it's a repeated incidence. It could be a initial phase of menopause setting in or tissue growth, thinning & thickening of vaginal lining, due to medications or may be cancer. Better to do a transvaginal USG & endometrial biopsy at the earliest for further evaluation
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
