I Still Have Throat Pain After Taking Painkillers And Lozengers Inspite Of Having A Removed Pollip

Hi, I recently had a Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy on Friday of which they removed a pollip 5mm (but checking for Crohns which was fine. I have two questions: 1.) After this they said my throat could hurt up to 48 hours, It s now been 60 hours and I still have throat pain after taking painkillers and lozingers. This pain gets worse when I cough. 2.) I also have nasal problems by which I will have random cold like symptoms. I started getting these symptoms on Saturday morning and now on Sunday throughout the afternoon and evening, whenever I sneeze I am getting sharp pains in the lower left side of my bowel. This pain also occurs when I cough.

DEAR USER
THANKS FOR CONSULTING AT HCM

I UNDERSTAND YOUR CONCERN..
1) REGARDING THROAT PAIN POST GASTROSCOPY IS A COMMON PROBLEM.. MORE THEN PAIN USUALLY PATIENT HAS AN ABNORMAL FEELING IN THE THROAT..

48HRS IS JUST TO MAKE YOU AWARE THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE THIS FEELING.. EVEN THOUGH IT'S 60HRS YOU DON'T NEED TO WORRY THE MEANING IS IT WILL GRADUALLY RESOLVE.. MORE IMPORTANCE IS DECREASE IN THE INTENSITY OF PAIN IN COMPARISON TO PREVIOUS DAY PAIN

2) CONTINOUS COUGHING CAN CAUSE THE PAIN IN YOUR ABDOMEN , COLD LIKE SYMPTOMS ARE USUALLY VIRAL.. STEAM INHALATION.. USE OF TABLETS LIKE CETRIZINE 5MG ONCE DAILY AND AVOIDING ALLERGENS THAT STIMULATE COLD CAN HELP YOU

IF STILL AFTER FEW DAYS YOUR PROBLEM PERSISTS YOU CAN TALK TO YOUR GASTROENTEROLOGIST ABOUT IT...

HOPE I HAVE ANSWERED YOUR QUESTION.. YOU CAN MESSAGE ME FOR ANY FURTHER CONCERNS
