I'm 38 Weeks Pregnant And The Baby Has Not Settled Into The Pelvis. Is There Any Chance Of Normal Delivery ?
hallo doctor ..... i m 38 weeks 5 days pregnant (according to ultrasound placenta in upper segment)... and my EDD is 8 may 2011, but my doctor said:- Your baby not settles down into your pelvis... he is in upper side....and 50-50 chance for normal & c-section....i want to avoid c-section......... plz give us some tips for settles down and normal delivery......

Your worry is understandable and you are anxious about the delivery too.
The head will sometime get into the pelvis more towards the date.
you can just do some moderate walking and breathing exercises which are helpful to some extent

Normally in first prenancy babys head settles down in pelvis at 38weeks but in few patients it may not settle down in pelvis due to many causes such as cord around babys neck,big baby,inadequate pelvis.Don't worry wait till 8 may it may settle down by that time or after you start getting labour pains.
