Increasing Numbness And Tingling Down Left Arm Into Middle Index Finger And Thumb. Reasons ?
For the last several weeks I have started experiencing numbness and tingling down my left arm into my middle index finger and thumb . It has gotten increasingly more pronounced with the tips of these fingers feeling like they are asleep. It is especially worse at night if I sleep on that side, it wakes me up and my finger and thumb feel like they are the size of a banana.
Hi,
You seem to be having a condition called carpal tunnel syndrome.
This is a condition where there is pressure on your median nerve.
Sometimes there is a cause to it like hypothyroidism or rheumatoid arthritis but sometimes it is idiopathic.
Treat the underlying cause or take medicines like pregabalin.sometimes steroid injections also work.
