Infant. Constant Diarrhea With Black Specs, Light Brown Stools, Fatigue, Sensitive To Fall, Pouting A Lot. Thoughts?

Hi, I am babysitting a 14 month old baby. Ever since I had him 5-6 months now he has had no normal stools and its always diarrhea with black specks. It is usually light brown with a yellow color to it. I have been trying to tell the mother to get him checked, maybe he is allergic to something or has something going on in the stomach. He always looks tired and not comfortable. He is pouting alot and he seems to be sensitive to falling even when he doesn't get hurt. I have googled these symptoms quite a bit but I cant get a straight answer because he is not my child and I cant just take him to the doctor. Please and thank you for your time and it would be great to here back from you.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic
loose motions continuously since 5-6 months suggests it is persistent diarrhea
it needs diet modification as well as treatment with antibiotics
give ample fluids to prevent dehydration
if possible better consult a pediatrician
Hope this answer will serve your purpose

your baby may have some problem but with the facts given it is difficult to come at any conclusion.first of all please note whether the weight of the baby has increased from past or is increasing or is constant or has decreased.is he accepting food normally or not.get a stool routine and microscopic done of the baby thn it can be easily said whether the baby has any problem or not.14 months baby should be able to walk but still not properly and there are lots of other reasons too for this symptoms.maintian proper hygeine.
