Infant Has Severe Ear Infection Behind Ear Drum, Is Crying Continuously. Suggestions?
hi im in new jersey and we were just hit with the storm sandy i had a doc appt on the 30th for my 5 month olds ear infection . the doctors office has been closed since the 29th and my daughter is crying and pulling at her ear , the doc had told us her infections was behind the eardrum should i wait for them to reopen or take her to the hospital ive heard she can go deaf if untreated
Hello, You should take her to the hospital. Its not that she is going to be deaf .But the infection could cause pain and if infection increases then there can be fever. You should feed her with head end up in supine position. Donot feed her when she is sleeping . Avoid water entering her ears In doubt do reply
