Infection of uterus or endometritis is rarely an indication for hysterectomy, as it is treatable most of the times with antibiotics. Moreover, the type of ovarian cyst, size etc will determine if the cyst or ovaries need to be removed. PLease provide complete clinical history, details of reports and ultrasound scans etc. for me to provide a complete opinion. Also, a normal Pap smear further removes the possbility of hysterectomy for cervical causes. take care.
