Inflamation On The Tip Of My Penis. No Urination Problem. Needs Treatment?
hello Doctor,
I am a 29year old male from India. I have a inflamation on the tip of the foreskin of my penis. Due to which i cannot retract the fore skin. I do not have an problem urinating. Google says it is Balanitis. Which ointment can i use to cure balanitis permanently and retract the fore skin effortlessly. One more info, I am diabetic.
Balanitis as you stated, is inflammation of the tip of the penis. It is usually related to the collection of smegma from poor hygiene though there can be other causes.
The other causes include chemical irritation by soaps or lotions you may be using, diabetes, drug allergies , excess weight.
One of the most common organisms involved is candida, with this in mind you may want to consider using an antifungal cream. One suggested cream that is commonly used is clotrimazole.
In addition you need to gently retract the foreskin and soak in water to clean the penis and foreskin daily.
I hope this helps
