Injury On Knee And Leg, Tightness And Pain Midway Between Knee And Ankle, Difficulty In Walking. Remedy?

I fell over on ice last week and hurt my left knee and leg. The knee seemed more painful but is now fine but the front of my lower leg (feels like it is around the bone) feels very tight and aches a little like a sprain but it s about midway between my knee and ankle. it seems to be getting worse not better but I can walk on it without issue and it didn t seem to hurt right away.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello.

Thanks for posting your query.

From description it seems to be soft tissue injury over your left knee and leg. It generally takes 10 -15 days to heal.

If pain persist beyond this ,I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You may get the X-ray of the area affected under his/her guidance.

Meanwhile you can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting full weight and rest well.

Regards.
