Insect Bite Caused Swelling On Left Hand. How To Go About It ?

Hi. my son who is 3 got bitten on the foot maybe from a ant or bee. I could not find a bee sting in his left foot. My concern is that his left hand swelled straight away. He seems happy and has no other signs from the bite. Should I see medical attention straight away or wait to see if it gets worse.
