Intermittent Occurrence Of Lumps Around Groin Causing Severe Pain, Occasional Bleeding. What Could It Be?
hello? for i few weeks i have been getting lumps coming and going around my groin , not on my gentials though, just around them. they could get quite painful. Eventually they would sometimes become black and now one has bled on me. it doesn t appear to bleed more but i am worried and it is quite irritating and scary. thanks
A groin lump is localized swelling in the groin area which maybe firm or soft, tender or not painful at all. most common causes are- 1.infection 2.Allergic reaction 3.Harmless cyst 4.Hernia (usually a soft, large bulge in the groin on one or both sides) 5.Lipomas 6.Swollen lymph glands in the groin area
the symptoms you are describing are mostly seen in infection related cases, it could be just an infected cyst, skin infection or boils. treatment for it includes-
1.keep the area clean, dry and let it heal. 2.You can use antiseptic solution for cleaning and then neosporin. 3.If you develop fever or pus discharge, it is better to see your doctor for proper drainage.
thank you, wishing you good health
