Inured Left Arm From A Fall. Having Pain But X-rays Do Not Detect Any Broken Bones. What Coud Be The Cause Of Pain?

I have left arm injury from a fall - I am trying to find an orthoped doc to see at the Clinic - specializing in shoulder and wrist. I have been to emergency, have followed up w/my regular doc. I am now waiting to see a specialty doc in January. I am a caregiver for my husband - waiting is really painful & I want to get to the "bottom" of the pain and get on with my very busy full days. Several xrays have been taken - nothing seems broken - but is the cause of pain?
