Is '5mm Gestational Sac' Appropriate For 4.6 Week Pregnancy?
Hi, I had a Transvigal Ultrasound at 4.6 week, and the gestational sac measured 5mm, is this an average size?? Also I have 5 sets of twins that run through both families in the last two generations. whats the odds of me carrying twins now. I'm 30 and this will be my 4th pregnancy.
Yes. a gestational sac of 5 mm is a normal finding for an intrauterine pregnancy of 4-5 weeks. in a few days a yolk sac weel be seen and in about two weeks you will see a distinctive embryo of about 6-7 weeks with a heart beat. good luck
