Is 5w5d Of Pregnancy Too Early To Detect Fetal Pole And Heart Beat?
Hello, I am pregnant. My sac is measuring at about 5w5d...however they see a sac and yolk but can not find a fetal pole or heart beat. Today they found a second sac and yolk with no heart beat or fetal pole. Could it still be to early to detect things or what should I be thinking or feeling right now?
Fetal pole, a thick spot near the yolk sac, is the term used for the earliest signs of a baby in an early pregnancy ultrasound -- before the baby has formed a recognizable human shape. With a transvaginal ultrasound, the fetal pole becomes visible around 6 weeks of gestation.
You may be able to hear and see your baby's heart beat for the first time when you're about 8 weeks pregnant if you have an early ultrasound exam. (The baby's heart starts to beat at around 6 weeks.) So wait for another week and the next scan might show you the above things
