Is Avanza Advisable To Be Replaced For Endep For Depression?
Thanks. I have Clinical Depression, which is now under control, however recently I had an upset. Consequently, my GP (currently overseas) has given me a script for Avanza to try. I am on 100mg Zoloft in the mornings, and 10 mg Endep at night. My query is, after 17 years of being on Endep, should I come down off it gradually, and gradually replace it with the Avanza? Or should I be taking both still? Thanks.
Avanza contains mirtazapine and it is a sedative antidepressant. That would help you to stop endep (amitriptyline) 10 mg at night. It would act like both antidepressant as well as sedative. You can take it without endep. There is nothing harm in it. You can stop endep without tapering. In case, you need further help, you can ask.
Thanks
