hi i had stomach ache on the right side a year ago i made endoscopy and found that i have hernia reflux acid and helico bacteria i took medication and then i was fine then 6 month later again i made echo nothing was found other then polyp 4mm on gallblader now doc wants a ct scan i am afraid to do it
Hello, I hope you are well, tomography is not a study indicated in the follow-up of a gallbladder polyp, the study indicated is conventional abdominal ultrasound every 6 to 12 months, with special attention on behavior, growth and presence of lithiasis.
The abdominal tomography is useful in cases of gallbladder cancer since it can better assess the vascular and extraorganic invasion to be able to decide which treatment to implement.
