Is Ensure Intake Safe Before A Colonoscopy?
Instructions say I can I drink ensure & ensure clear nutrition drinks before my colonoscopy? The one s at the store are milk based and the clear one s contain some red dye. The instructions from the Gastro say avoid milk products but also say I can have ensure (which is the milk based ones). Whats the deal here?

You can only take fluids and juices which are not red in color 12 hour before bowel preperation.Milk and ensure should not be taken if you are planned for colonocopy other wise these may alter the findings.Try to avoid ensure and other powders overnight,Its good for your bowel preperation.
Try to drink only juices.The better is the lavage the better will be results of colonoscopy.
