Is Gestofit Intake Mandatory In Pregnancy?

I am 35 years old and its my first pregnancy and I had one miscarrage in about 5 weeks, I am now in 8th week of pregnancy, and my doctor had prescribed me gestofit 200 Progesterone Capsule, to be taken twice daily on my first visit about 2 weeks ago Do you think its needed ?

Hi, welcome to healthcare magic forum. I had gone through your history and understand your concern.

Capsule-Gestofit 2oo is nothing but is progesterone. progesterone is needed for developing favorable environment for the implantation of fertilized egg.and maintenance of pregnancy if the woman conceives.

we usually prescribe it to the pregnant women during first trimester 1 tab twice daily. It is also given in case of women having history of miscarriage and those who are planning to conceive. So in my opinion there is no harm in taking cap-gestofit. It will help you in conceiving. Follow the instructions of your doctor and be in regular consult with her/him.
