Is Pioz Taken For Diabetes Safe For Health?

I am a diabetes mellitus patient for the last 28 years. Now I take Pioz-30 tabs, Glyciphage-500 and Glynase XL 5mg. alongwith Huminsuline 30 units per day. Kindly inform that Pioz-30 is bad for health. And should I take all the above medicines. Now my fasting blood sugar is between 100-160

Hello welcome to HCM..
Pioglitazone actually has been banned in many countries from selling due to its issues that it causes urinary bladder cancer.
However in India and some other countries the ban has been lifted because the changes are very low and drug works nicely in most of the patients.
My advice to you is -
1.there are many alternative options available for diabetes, so u can tell your diabetologist to stop pioglitazone and replace it with other medication if u r worried about the side effects.
2 . your fasting blood levels are well controlled at present.. So continue same therapy.
3 . repeat every 3 monthly FBS, PP2BS AND HBA1c report.
