Is Bloating And Pain While Passing Stools In A Child Concerning?

Hi My five year olds stomach is slightly bloated and firm, she was able to have a small bowl movement followed by pain and crying thats when i noticed her stomach a little bloated, she said it hurts all over and it hurt her when i pressed on her stomach, she is taking a nap with her dad now and im not sure if i should take her in to the emergency room or if it could be gas ??

Hi.... I understand your concern. I will let you know the danger symptoms of a bloated stomach so that, you can assess the child by yourself and decide whether to take her to the nearest Emergency Room or not.

Danger symptoms or signs include - green or bilious vomiting, incessant vomiting, blood in the motion, decreased urine output, lethargy and dehydration.
