Is Complete Dose Of Celestamine Required To Stop Itching Due To Allergy?
Hi, my doctor recommended celestamine for a severe allergy that i have but i have found that it only works until i have to take another dose. At the moment i only have two left and i am wondering is it going to get better only after i finish all of them or is there something stronger that i can use that will take it away at once. The itching is most annoying.
It takes some time for the allergic response to settle. Medication is normally given for 5-7 days( depending on severity and may prolong). Symptoms start improving after 2-3 doses and in most of the cases does not relapse until or unless the allergen becomes in contact again. If allergy is still the issue then it means that allergen is still there. You need to observe what particular thing is causing allergy. Then try to avoid it. Meanwhile you can take montelukast one daily for one month. Research has shown that it decreases the allergic symptoms considerably.
