I am 16yrs old, 5 3. I was involved in a collision in softball 2 weeks ago. I was diagnosed with a concussion & a couple days ago I found blood in my ear. & I have been really really tired to the point where I cant do anything. I sleep for 15hrs straight or more at a time. Is it normal for me to be sleeping this much?
Hello, If you had a habit of sleeping for such a long time before collision, then no need to worry for your sleep pattern. However, the time you sleep is not so common. Regarding your ear bleed, you need to have been examined physically by an ENT surgeon. If you can't visit ENT surgeon and you don't have difficulty in hearing and other symptoms like headache and other signs of head injury, you may wait for natural recovery.
General advise is to maintain proper ear hygiene, don't put anything in your ear, keep cotton plus all the time, avoid cold and physical activity and swimming.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
