Is Depression, Extreme Fatigue, Mood Changes Symptom Of Anorexia?

My wife has been having trouble with thinking she has too much weight and this has been going on for some years now. She recently about a few months ago went into a rapid weight loss. She still thinks she is over weight. Now she is starting to have chest painsx2weeks, bloatedness, skin darkened, veins are very visible and rasied in hands and forearms, dry skin, hair thinning, depression, extreme fatigue, mood changes, and hair across the lip, hair on the body where normally is none, and now pain in the back over the kidney area. I have been looking at the symptoms of Anorexia and I think she may be down this line. She s been told that she is borderline Diabetic and also Cancer is very prominent in her family....she has denied anorexia when I speak to her...something seriously is going on I think. What can this be? Am I on the right target with the possibility of Anorexia? Please help.

Hello. All you refer are signs and symptoms of a person suffering from Anorexia. The person with anorexia have a distorted body image, they see themselves with obese (althought they are thin) and perform acts to reduce its weight.
Drastically decrease food intake, increase the practice of physical exercise, vomiting are caused and they ingests drugs such as laxatives or diuretics ....
As a result of malnutrition, appear symptoms on skin (fragility) sex hormones (androgyny) gynecology (absence of menstruation), fatigue ....
In an extreme situation, the person suffers dehydration, arrhythmias, and his life is in danger. In addition to the physical consequences, the person with anorexia
suffering depression and anxiety.
Please your wife should be seen immediately by a psychiatrist, Anorexia is a disease that can be treated successfully but is a serious pathology.
I wish your wife good health.
