i have been diagnoised with ra and raynaulds disease .i want to know if fast during the month of ramadan would be beneficial for me.i am not on any meds as of now as i have my appointment with another rheumatologist in 2 weeks.i originally was just taking an anti inflammatory naproxen .had too many bad side effects so i discontinued it.i am always in chronic pain on a scale from 1-10 i am mostly a 9 or 7.i suffer from fatigue through out my day and think that the fasting would make me even more fatigue.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. No benefit or harm due to fasting 2. Its a disease of blood vessel which is hyper-responsive to cold or stress. 3. No harm in fasting. If you are having severe recurrent attacks, vasodilators or calcium channel blockers might be necessary. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
