Is Flare Up Of Plantar Fasciitis On Right Foot With Little Help From Ibuprofen Concerning?
My husband was diagnosed about a year ago with flare-ups of plantar fascists, and 3 weeks ago it flared up in his right foot, so he went to our family doctor...he told him to take Ibuprofen for the pain, ice pack & hot pack alternately and try to stay off of it. The swelling of his foot has gone down a little, but the pain is still there...could this be something else? He doesn t recall spraining his ankle, etc. And, he had gout before in his elbow & has none of those symptoms.
It is common history with planter fasciitis to cure and relapse again and again. So there is nothing to be worried about. IF he is responding to brufen and his pain has gone down than its ok. Some time when pain is not responding to this treatment , injection of steroid at heel also helps.
