Is Funky, Blood Clot Like Thing In Stools After Colonoscopy Normal?

i had a colposcopy done three days ago and i noticed something funky in my stool. It looked like a blood clot or the coffee medicine the doctor used to treat the biopsy area. Is this normal? I am not 100% sure if that stuff came with my stool or from the vagina...I just saw it while I was about to flush.

Hello,

In post colonoscopy, bloodstain stool may happen but it is nothing to worry because the condition is self-limiting, but in case of persistent symptoms and confirmed blood per rectum needs immediate medical attention, in my opinion, it is better to have the word with your doctor else it is nothing to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
