Is Inderal 10mg And Losamel 20mg Prescribed For Varicose Vein?

Hi, I was recently prescribed inderal 10mg and losamel 20mg by the hospital. I am attending the hepatitis c clinic and hoping to start the interferon treatment. My next appt is not for a few months so I was just wondering why am I prescribed them? When I got an endoscopy, they found a varicose vein at the back of my throat, would it have anything to do with that? Thanks

* Inderal is a beta blocker agent used for mainly hypertension , angina, heart
rhythm disturbances etc. not a drug for varicose veins specially .
* Losamel 20mg is Proton pump inhibitor given to take control of gastritis,
gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric reflux diseases etc. again not for
varicose veins .
