Is Intake Of Yamini Tablets For PCOD And Irregular Periods Safe?
My age is 30 years (Female). I have been diagnosed with PCOD and irrgeular menstrual period (40-50 days) & my doctor has prescribed me Tablet 'Yamini' for 21 days (Drospirenone and ethinylestradiol). I am concerned about it's side effects, mentioned on prescribing information... How safe is the drug for me ?
Yes, you can start yamini for 21 days but you have to continue it for 3 cycles, this will correct your cycles. As with all birth control pills, this pill too has side effects like it can increase your blood cholesterol level and can cause heart problem or liver problem in long run. However, this will occur when you continue it for long periods and not short interval.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
