Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is It Advisable To Exercise While Having Palpitations?
I am experiencing some palpitations as well as other peri menopausal symptoms, seems to be low on progesterone side. I like to walk and do yoga daily but when I am having a bad day of palpitations I seem to freeze up and not want to do anything. Is it advised to keep exercising while having palpitations or just to rest. It is just more scary than anything even though I know what the cause is
Welcome to HealthcareMagic, If you are getting palpitations occasionally you have nothing to worry about, but if you are getting regular palpitation you need to visit your physician for a complete evaluation. When you are doing walking or yoga, even if you have palpitation you can continue, but if you feel you are getting breathless then take a break and then continue. Hope that answers your question, Regards, Dr.Imaad.
