Is It Advisable To Take Energy Dietary Supplement?
Hi, my question is regarding the 5 hour energy dietary supplement. I've been under very low energy lately, probably due to the meds that I am on. So I thought I would check this out. I drank the whole bottle of 2oz. and little by little I began to feel more energetic but then it seemed like I had too much energy. I began to feel jittery and restless, I wanted to do to many things at the same time. I was a bit scared of taking it because I don't deal well AT ALL with Excedrin or midol because of the caffeine, but since it said it was only about 1 strong cup of coffee than I thought I could take it. I don't really drink coffee but I can drink a whole bottle of Coke and I'm fine, I have tried red bull and it doesn't do anything to my nerves. I am wondering if the jitterness is all psychological or is it legit. Does it make a difference that I had a 5 hour lapse since I had anything in my stomach? I'm about 125lbs. I am on effexor and clonezepan. I don't know if that is a bad mix.
Hello, Thanks for asking HCM. If a person is with sound health, eating proper diet, and not doing lot of physical work should not require any supplement. If one requires supplement then either he may not be eating proper diet or his physiology is not right. Firstly you should consult a dietitian for proper diet. You should report to your treating doctor about your complaints and ask if this is not one of the side effects of the medication you are taking. He is in best position to advice you if you need to be further investigated orif there is requirement of any additional medications. Best wishes.
