Is It Beneficial To Continue With Bio-identical Hormones For Cancer Growth In Breast?
I have a stage 1 very small cancer growth n my breast.....I have been taking bio-identcal hormones, and wonder if continuing to taking them is beneficial or not. I read that progesterone is protective to metastisis. My growth is estrogen and progenterone positive?
Patients who have estrogen and progesterone positive breast cancer are given drug tamoxifen which is a receptor modulator and inhibits action of estrogen and progesterone on breast cancer cells. You need to discuss with your oncologist regarding tamoxifen as giving estrogen or progesterone in receptor positive breast cancer will promote cancer growth.
