Is It Considered Serious To Have Abdominal Cramps After Birth Delivery?

I had my daughter four months ago. She is my first baby. About 3 days ago I started to get these tight pains on my lower left side of my abdominal/stomach. At first I thought they were just cramps from getting off my third period. But they don't go away? Any idea what it might be? Or if its even serious?
