Is It Fine To Take Ondanestron And Prochlorper Together?
Hi I was wondering. I take ondanestron 1 8mg tab every 12 hours for nausea but im also prescribed prochlorper 10 mg tab every 4-6 hours as needed. Is it ok to take them together or how many hours should i leave in between taking them? I take the zofran at noon every day before radiation.

Zofran and prochlorperazine serve the same purpose. However zofran is more expensive thatn prochlorperazine. Also zofran is more likely to cause constipation than prochlorper. I would recommend the use of a singke drug. In case the nausea is not controlled by a single, than only you should take both. They have a very RARE effect on heart causing arrythmia when taken togather. Talk to your doctor about this.
