Is It Necessary To Remove The Toe If There Is No Blood Circulation?

hello doctor , my name is arun, my friend met with an accident, he injured his toe. doctors confirmed there is no blood circulation in his toe, but he can feel the sense in his toe. doctors told us to remove the toe, its necessary or not. please help us.

If your doctors have told that there is no blood circulation then amputation is the logical treatment. Hoever, ideally this toe should not have any sensation. If this toe has any touch or pressure sensation, get it reevaluated. Your doctors may do a doppler ultrasound and confirm circulation. If it is turning black, one can wait for a complete demarcation and amputate.
