Micronor contains norethindrone, a female natural sex hormone called progesterone that is used in the prevention of unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourses. It may cause irregular, heavier or lighter periods than usual. It may also cause prolonged or scanty bleeding during periods, breakthrough bleeding or spotting between periods, vaginal bleeding or vaginal discharge.
These side effects are mild and usually go away over time as the body adjusts to this medication. In case side effects bother you, you should consult your doctor at the earliest. Without consulting your doctor, you should not stop taking this medication.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
