Is It Normal To Feel Sleepy After Dental Extraction?
my son had dental extraction yesterday, about 28 hours ago. he has been very sleepy since after the procedure to now. is this normal? he was injected lidocaine 1st shot, and during the procedure, because he could still feel the pain, was given another shot. He is 9 y/o. about 44kg. thanks!

I think your son might be tired thats it nothing to worry about it. wait and see if he still feels sleepy after 2 days then visit your doctor. for an 44kgs boy two shots of lidocaine would cause any harm unless he is allergic to it.Hope this helps you.

Read your query, as your son had undergone extraction there is nothing to be worried be relaxed this feeling of sleepy , dizzeness can be seen in some patients after extraction due to effect of anaesthesia given, I will advise him to take proper rest , dont take stress ,sleep of 8 hours , take proper nutritious healthy diet , fruit juice , green leafy vegetables in food , follow post operative instruction given by dentist , take proper course of medication prescribed by your doctor , You can consult your dentist and take Vitamin supplements also.
