Is It Normal To Have A Sore Hip After Being Treated For Dislocation In The Hip?

My 15 year old son dislocated his hip on October 5th, 2013. It was successfully reduced and he stayed off of it for 8 weeks. On December 18th he was cleared to resume normal activity. After the holidays he returned to his work out routine... slowly. After his work outs, which includes running and squatting, his hip is very soar. Is this normal or should I schedule a follow up with his orthopedic surgeon?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
After Dislocation for 5 months this swelling and pain is not usual. It can be a tear in a ligament or muscle torn. I would recommend you to show it to orthopaedic surgeon . He may ask you to get MRI of your hip joint. It does not look a very serious issue.
