Is It Normal To Have Cramps In Hands, Legs And Shoulder After A Deposit Shot?
Hi. My name is Abby. I ve been on the deposit shot for about two years and haven t any bleeding or menstrual cramping in at least a year. Last night my body began cramping all over gradually getting worse. I took two ibuprofen and managed to fall asleep. This morning I woke up feeling better but am easily getting cramps in my legs, hands, shoulders, and severe in my very lower abdomen along with a good amount of vaginal bleeding. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do at home to help?
Vaginal bleeding along with cramping can occur while on depo shots. However, since your symptoms are severe and you have not had any bleeding for almost a year, miscarriage is also an important concern.
So please be advised to follow up with the urgent care to get a blood HCG testing and pelvic ultrasound (if needed) done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
